History of Oriental Rugs

Between the 4^th and 6^th century BC, the earliest carpet we know of existed.  The Pazyryk is considered the oldest carpet in the world -woven in the 5^th century BC.  The discovery was made in 1949 in the Altai Mountains in Siberia.  This art easily spans thousands of years.
